Nutrition Coaching Services

If you’ve had enough of the diet game and are ready to get a lean, healthy body for the rest of your life, professional nutrition coaching is the way to go. Sure, you can get a cookie-cutter meal plan from the trainer at your gym, catch some myth-riddled anecdotes between sets of bench press, or tear this month’s low-calorie recipe out of a fitness magazine. Lots of people choose that route. But those who achieve the top tier of results hire a professional coach.

We don’t do meal plans. We do better. We coach you through one habit at a time to develop a lifestyle that is enjoyable while it gets you the body you want. We lead by example, providing support and accountability, and we’ve empowered hundreds of clients to transform their bodies and lives. You won’t be bombarded with empty “you can do it!” cheerleading or “suck it up” slavedriving. You get practical advice from top experts, plain and simple, on what works.

Nutrition coaching is what we do, it’s all we do, and no one does it better.

Your Team

One By One Nutrition Coaching brings together experts in nutrition, exercise science, and change psychology. We’ve designed a system based on more than 50 years of combined experience in the art and science of getting people lean. (A wall full of degrees and more training certifications than you can shake a stick at doesn’t hurt either).  Sharing a vision, we’ve created the ultimate system for personalized nutrition coaching.

Brandice Lardner and I are the two main coaches; you can consider us the front line of communication. We’ll be the voices on the other end of the phone line, answering your emails, and working with you to overcome challenges in your life. Also on the team, my partner Roland Fisher, who has coached hundreds of clients toward their goals. Roland’s wisdom provides an added layer of support and expertise to our very active Facebook group, where all three coaches have daily discussions with our team of clients. Okay, we joke around and have a lot of fun too.

So you don’t get one coach. You get a team of coaches, including myself. Lucky duck.

Nutrition Coaching

Coach Georgie

The core of a successful coaching relationship isn’t information, it’s human connection.  In addition to unlimited email access, you’ll have scheduled phone conversations with a nutrition coach every 1 or 2 weeks. Knowing you have a set date and time to speak with your coach provides the ultimate accountability – you cannot slip through the cracks. During these conversations, you and your coach chat about your most recent results and observations, and agree upon the next step for you in your unique journey. You’ll always have one specific habit to focus on, not an overwhelming and short-lived life overhaul. We’ll work with you to assign a habit that is just challenging enough, without being unrealistic or a waste of time. Not a fan of the phone? No worries, we’re happy to work you by email if that’s more fitting for you.

Besides being an expert in nutrition, your coach also is there to guide you through the whole change process, including handling the inevitable bumps in the road, managing emotional challenges, and identifying specific actions you can take to increase the support from your home environment and relationships. With your coach’s accountability and support, you’ll create and cement the ideal food pattern for you, practice making it stick, all while developing bombproof resilience and emotional strength.

Curious about the nuts and bolts of the food patterns we encourage? Well, to sum it up: we’ll guide you toward eating whole, unprocessed, nutrient dense foods in amounts that are right for you to move toward your goals while enjoying the process. No starvation or calorie counting. No shelf full of pricey supplements, though there are a few that may benefit your situation and we’re happy to discuss them. No binge-inducing “cheat days”. You’ll get research based nutrition principles, applied with common sense and the realization that you have a life, you want food that tastes good, and you don’t want to lose your sanity to get a lean body. Us too.

Autoregulation Training

Coach Brandice

At best, any training program which you find on the internet or in a book is going to be a guess at what will work for you.  Even the best programs cannot take into account the injuries and limitations you’ve had, what’s sore or achy that day, or the day you’re training on just 3 hours of sleep. A training program is something you impose on your body regardless of the state you’re in on that given day. We can do better.

We teach a style of exercise training called autoregulation training. Using autoregulation, you listen to your body and test the nervous system to identify what are the best movements for you to do, how many reps and sets are beneficial versus detrimental, and how much weight you should be putting on the bar. With your own body guiding the process, overuse injuries disappear, recovery skyrockets, and gone are the days of overtraining. Strength, agility and work capacity go up, and the whole process is enjoyable again. (Like when you were a kid and moving felt good, before you got caught up wondering how many inches your close grip bench press grip should  span….) The end result: you get stronger, a more chiseled physique, and don’t have to beat your body into constant injury to get there.

Never heard of Autoreg training? Perfect. We don’t expect you know what it is. (You didn’t miss a pre-requisite class, so don’t worry.)

For the raw beginner, we build a foundation of basic movement patterns. We’re here to guide you every step of the way, even if the first step for you is a goal of walking regularly.  More advanced trainees will find they can break their old strength plateaus, and set new PRs almost at every training session.

Not too sure about your deadlift technique? Video analysis is a tool we use to check out your technique and help coach you on specific lifts. We’ll help you make the most of whatever set up you have for equipment, whether that’s your home gym or a commercial fitness center.

Extra Goodies and Social Support

Affectionately known as “The Hive”, our private Facebook group is abuzz every day with ideas, suggestions, moral support and people just like you striving to reach their goals. While you’ll always have personalized habit to work on, you’ll find that having a supportive community adds an extra special tailwind of group momentum to your efforts.  We live the lifestyle we coach, so you’ll be seeing our meals, or shopping trips, us in the gym, and how we get things done in real life.  We also value your contribution, and appreciate your opinions, meal ideas, photos, updates and inspiration to keep us all moving forward.

How much does it cost?

We like things straightforward: the cost is $99 to enroll, and $149 a month. (If you want to double up and schedule hour long coaching phone calls or talk to your coach every week, we offer that too.) No contracts to trap you. We only want to work with people who genuinely want to be coached by us, so you are always free to opt in or out and make the call what’s right for you. There is a cap on client enrollment at any given time, so if spots are open, new clients will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. We start clients anytime, not just the beginning of the month.

Got all the info you need? To get started ASAP, secure your spot below by paying your registration fee with the Paypal button below, and we’ll contact you by email to get you started right away.

Start Right Away Or Reserve Your Spot

Some times of the year we end up with a waiting list because demand is high. If you want to reserve your spot for a future date, you can do that by paying the $99 registration fee in advance. We’ll email you to find out your preferred start date (can be any day of the month), and then you can relax and know you’re guaranteed a slot. (When your start date comes around, we’ll set up the monthly payments then with a separate transaction).
