I don’t like yogurt….but I want to!

I know yogurt is really good for you (probiotics and all), and I should try and get more calcium…but I just have an issue with the texture. I like the taste, and I can eat frozen yogurt, but I’ve never been able to eat the normal kind. Any tips on trying to get past this? -T.C.

Good for you, trying to expand your food options! If you have issues with the texture of normal yogurt, how about adding some granola, nuts or high fiber cereal to give it some crunch? You can also try Greek yogurt, which is thicker, and maybe you won’t mind it so much. The other idea that springs to mind is to use yogurt to mix up smoothies. Blending yogurt and fruit in a blender will thin it, making it drinkable like a milkshake. You can experiment with all kinds of fresh or frozen fruit, add cocoa or a dash of vanilla…use your imagination! If it gets too thick, just add some extra milk or juice.

Good luck! Let me know if you find a trick that works for you!

Anyone else have a food that turns them off because of the texture?
