Where can I buy La Tortilla Factory tortillas?

Jennifer writes:

Hi Georgie,
I have been looking for La Tortilla Factory wraps EVERYWHERE! Where do you find them?? I found them when I was in Georgia and I can’t find them anywhere in PA or around Princeton, NJ. Please Help!

I love La Tortilla Factory wraps, too! They are definitely worth hunting down. I have bought them at the A&P in North Brunswick, NJ, just up Route 1 from Princeton. (Look in the deli section.) BUT, you can buy them online from the company’s website! Go here and shop til you drop!

Once they arrive, use them to make some fabulous meals like Pesto Turkey Melt, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken Gorgonzola Flatbreads, Pizza Wrap, or 5-Minute Flatbread.   Enjoy!!

Question: Have you ever found a specific product you liked so much you’d buy it over the internet or drive outside your normal radius to get it? I’d love to hear what it was! Leave a comment.

I found some today at Nature’s Fare…..these stores are in British Columbia. I’d say try your local health food store.

Vitamuffins taste good, but not any better than stuff I (or you) bake ourselves. If you’re not a baker but want a portion-controlled treat, they are a good product, but I don’t buy them due to price. If I want a 100 calorie brownie or muffin, I’ll bake 100 calorie brownies or muffins for 1/10th the cost. :)

So Vita Muffins are worth it? i have seen the ads but never tried them. I can’t believe our local grocery stocks these tortillas (SHOCK!) and I order so much stuff over the internet Amazon.com should be sending me Christmas presents!

Thanks Monica! I also spotted them at Stop and Shop in Franklin Park on Route 27.

Just wanted to say – I just saw the La Tortilla Factory tortillas at the Shop Rite on Elizabeth Ave in Somerset, NJ. They were near the deli section on those little shelves in front of the cold cuts. Sometimes you just have to look in some unusual places to find what you need!

Cool! I once wanted to use just a little bit of bacon for a recipe and bought the crumbled real bacon (Oscar Meyer Real Bacon Bits). It was handy because I only needed to buy a 3 ounce package instead of a whole pound. Plus, when its crumbled you can use just a tablespoon or 2 to flavor a whole dish without adding many calories or fat grams at all. (25 cal per tablespoon.)
I’ve been thinking of making a potato-cheese-bacon soup with them, so that might pop up on the blog soon if I get to it. :) G

Thanks Cait! That’s so sweet of your mom sending you some care packages! I, too, am moving soon and wonder if I’ll be able to find the things I love out in Colorado! Next month we’re heading out. From my visits though, it seems like the food environment there is even better than NJ, with more organic, local, healthy, etc things to try. So maybe I’ll just be discovering new favorites!
    Thanks for writing!!

http://www.baconsalt.com I am dying to try the stuff because it’s too dangerous to cook bacon in my house, I eat it all. I think it would be amazing on potato salad.

I absolutely LOVE and admire your website. When I need novel inspiration for recipes I’m always checking daily to see what you have in store for us next…in response to your question: I recently moved to VA from NJ last May for my career and I will admit, you can NOT find these tortilla wraps down here (and i’ve been a fan for the last two years of these; my mom found them at Stop and Shop and I’ve been hooked since), nor can I find my favorite brand of hummus, Cedar’s. Therefore, my mom sends “care packages” down to me from NJ with loads of the pita bread, as well as tubs of the hummus!!!! Even when I was training in WV and GA for my job, sure enough there was always a package with my favorite hummus and pita bread waiting for me!

This isn’t really healthy at all, but I love the Terra brand Taro chips. They come in the regular mixed bag at a lot of grocery stores but I found out online that they had bags of just taro chips. I begged Whole Foods in Princeton to carry them and now they occasionally do. They are so much more delicious than regular chips, and if I’m going to have some I want them to be good!

Baon salt?! Now that sounds interesting, I’ve never had it. Must be awesome on potatoes or oven fries.

I’ve bought macadamia nut oil online, and hulless barley (a whole grain with very low glycemic index). Although I can buy protein powder and bars without going online, I can usually find a better deal over the internet.
I do drive 30 minute on occasion for grass-fed beef, too. But hardly ever!

I am going to order bacon salt online soon and I fear I may be ordering it by the case once I taste it. I think if they discontinued selling just about any President’s Choice product(s) I would definitely order them online or drive a very long time to get them.
